Power Center Academy Announcements |
It's Official!!!
At a meeting on July 1, parents and school administrators met to establish a formal parent organization. In a unanimous decision, all of the stakeholders agreed that a Parent Teacher Student Organization would best serve Power Center Academy, its scholars, and parents.
In grand style, just three weeks later, the Power Center Academy Parent Teacher Student Association (“Power Center Academy PTSA”) formally chartered with a total of 109 members – 62 parents, 41 scholars, 2 teachers, and 4 school administrators. While the total number of charting members is unprecedented by any other PTA/PTSA in our region, Power Center Academy’s goal is 100% membership of parents, scholars, and teachers.
The purpose of the Power Center Academy PTSA is to serve as a liaison between the parents and school administrators and teachers and to give everyone a voice in matters concerning Power Center Academy and its scholars.
At the Tennessee State PTA/PTSA, Summer Leadership Training, Rolf Weeks, the 3rd Vice-President of Tennessee State PTA/PTSA, was so impressed that Power Center Academy PTSA actually had students involved and present at the training workshop that he deemed Power Center Academy PTSA the prototype for all Tennessee PTSA organizations in the State of Tennessee. Congratulations, Power Center Academy PTSA!
Power Center Academy PTSA has individual memberships – $10 for adults and $5 for scholars. Join today!
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 12 at 5:00 pm.

This event will not only emphasize and teach students African-American history, but will also emphasize team-building, teamlearning, and sportsmanship.
